Hocine Lourdani
Hocine is a French healthcare entrepreneur and consultant based in San Francisco, and
co-founder of Design for X.
His main interests and past work revolves around biomedical innovation, entrepreneurship, and public policy to support the translation of scientific breakthroughs into viable solutions for society.
Most recently, he co-founded a biotech company, advised early-stage healthcare startups, and took a diplomatic tour of duty for the Embassy of France in the US, working on transatlantic business and science collaborations.
In addition, Hocine is the SF Ambassador of Hello Tomorrow, a global nonprofit organization which goal is to accelerate the development of science-based startups that are solving urgent problems with innovative technology.

Caterina Falleni

Caterina is a multi-awarded designer, technology enthusiast and entrepreneur. She currently applies her skills designing the next generation of payment and healthcare systems at Samsung Research America and co-founding Design for X. Previously, worked between design consultancies and startups in Europe and US with clients such as Pepsico, Unilever, Dolby, Microsoft, 3M and ABB. After Singularity University she collaborated with the MIT SENSEable City Lab to develop a project that turned into a robotics company Makr Shakr, founded Axelera a no-profit to bridge Silicon Valley to young Italian leaders, designed an electricity-free refrigeration system in Tanzania and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean for a research about plastics pollution.
She is a member of the Global Shapers Community part of the World Economic Forum.
